#100 I Left My Job After 6 Years – A Heartfelt Goodbye and a New Beginning

Today, I’m sharing some personal and professional news: I have officially left my position at Avertiss Real Estate Agency, marking the end of an incredible chapter that began back in 2019. After six unforgettable years, this decision is both bittersweet and exciting — a true milestone in my career.

Gratitude for the Journey

Reflecting on these years, I am filled with gratitude for the colleagues, mentors, and partners I’ve had the privilege to work with. Your knowledge, support, and camaraderie shaped not only my professional growth but also enriched me personally. Thank you for the memories, the shared successes, and the invaluable lessons. I will miss you all dearly and carry these experiences with me into my next adventure.

A special shoutout to my initiation mentors, Dengiz Kurşat and Esra Sezgin, for showing me the ropes, and to our office dog, Atom, who contributed absolutely nothing to sales but mastered the art of strategic napping in the best sunlit spot.

This announcement also coincides with my 100th post on Mediterranean Condos, a platform where I have documented my passion for Cyprus, and real estate. It’s a meaningful coincidence — a full-circle moment that highlights just how far this journey has taken me.

In my previous role, I witnessed and contributed to remarkable milestones. In 2019, we were a local agency focused on Kyrenia, Nicosia, Yenikent villas, city apartments, and land transactions. Over the years, we transformed into a more streamlined and internationally recognized agency, specializing in the coastal towns of İskele, the North Coast, and the West Coast, with a dedicated focus on serving overseas buyers.

Together, we achieved record-high customer satisfaction scores, recognized by publications like Forbes Magazine, and executed successful campaigns that consistently placed us at the top of industry lists. Being part of this transformation—from a 40-agent, three-office team serving a local market to a compact yet specialized three-person firm operating remotely with a global reach—has been a journey of both pride and pleasure.

What’s Next?

As I move on in 2025, this transition is driven by the natural evolution of my career. I’ve reached a point where it’s time to take the next step, to seek new challenges and fresh opportunities to grow further. This is not just an ending but also a new beginning — one I am incredibly excited about.
